Whether you have been to Portugal before or it is your first time, be sure to join Out the Gate Travel or a fun-filled 11-day trip to Porto and Lisbon! Please see the itinerary below. The trip includes the flight into Lisbon, a private coach bus to Porto, 4/5-star hotels, a 3-hour private sunset cruise with open bar in Lisbon, two-day tickets to the SuncéBeat Festival including the after party, free breakfast, the Lisbon card, wine tastings, and a whole lot of fun! Total cost of this 11-day trip starts at $3650 per person for double occupancy, single occupancy starts at $4750. This also includes travel insurance that covers hotel and flight. This is a trip for persons 18 and over only.

A $1500 non-refundable deposit due by January 15 that will be applied to your trip total. If you miss the January 15 deposit deadline, please reach out to discuss payment options. There is no research/admin fee for this trip.
Take off from your home airport and arrive in Lisbon the next morning. After an hour and 40 min layover, the group will fly to Porto and then via ground transport, the group will arrive at the 4-star hotel in Porto. Nonstop flights will be booked when possible.
Check-in to hotel and enjoy free time the rest of the afternoon. Dinner meet-up is optional. Dinner cost not included. Wine tasting times will be given at this time and assistance with booking other activities will be given.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then explore Porto. Visit the Sao Bento train station, the Livraria Lello - an historic bookstore, take a ride up the funicular. Walk over the Don Luis I bridge to Vila Nova de Gaia to visit the various wine cellars and tasting rooms. Wine/port tastings will be scheduled for this day. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Another scheduled wine tasting in Gaia. Explore more of Porto - shopping, galleries, and historic sites. Take a boat tour down the Duoro River (additional fee). Visit a wine cellar you may have missed. Dinner meet up with the group optional. Dinner cost not included.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Load bags for the for return trip to Lisbon on the private coach bus. Arrive in Lisbon at the 4-star hotel for check-in. Unpack, venture out or relax. Explore Lisbon at your own pace. A 3-day Lisbon card will be given which includes transportation around the city and entry to several museums and sites. Dinner on your own.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. The group will head to Sintra via the train to see the castles of yesteryear. The group will have lunch (additional cost). This will be a day trip returning late afternoon/early evening via the train. Dinner on your own.
Another free day to explore Lisbon. There is lots to discover and do. Take in a Fado performance, visit the Castelo de Sao Jorge, the National Pantheon or another museum or two. Dinner meet up on the last evening. Dinner cost not included.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. It's time for the SuncéBeat Festival! Shuttle buses will begin taking group members to the beach starting at 2pm. Return shuttles will be available in the evening. Tickets for the Festival are included. Food is available at the Festival. The ocean water is cold, but you may want to wear your swimsuit for the beach.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Spend your day on your own, then at 3pm, the group will meet to head to the private 3-hour sunset boat party with open bar. Dinner will be after - join the group or eat on your own. Dinner cost not included.
Another day at the Festival! It's the last day and the shuttles will begin running at 4pm to head to the beach club. Enjoy the after party at the Magic Yard until 6am if you like (it's included in your ticket). Don't want to stay for the after party? Shuttles will begin to return to the hotel at 9pm until midnight.
Enjoy sleeping in or breakfast at the hotel. Free day to do what you like. Hang at the hotel, go shopping, see more historic sites, explore a neighborhood, visit a museum. It's your day on your time.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Pack your bags and hop on a shuttle to transport you to the airport. Take flight back to your home base.
